How we connect
A good school is embedded — in a city, in a tradition, in a network of other schools and research institutions. Where we are rooted and with whom we cultivate exchange, you'll find on the following lines.
Rietberg Montessori School is part of a larger whole. We are connected to the international Montessori movement, cooperate with educational institutes, are networked in the city of Zurich, and engage in the further development of school pedagogy.
We are members of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) — the organisation that maintains Maria Montessori's legacy worldwide. This membership commits us to high pedagogical standards and brings us into regular exchange with schools from around the world.

We also work closely with universities of education — as a placement school for prospective teachers and as a research partner for Montessori studies. Current educational research thus flows into our everyday life, and our experience in turn becomes part of research.
Our partners and connections
A school alone changes little. A networked school that shares its experience and lets itself be enriched from outside can shape education. That is precisely our ambition — modest but consistent.
