Discovering the knowledge of the world
What sets us apart from an ordinary primary school? First of all: we work with the internationally recognised AMI Montessori curriculum, which stands for high quality and authentic Montessori principles and goes far beyond the public syllabus. As a state-recognised all-day school for children aged 6 to 12, we also fulfil the Lehrplan 21 curriculum.
More importantly, however: with us, children learn self-directed, at their own pace and bilingually (German/English). In daily practice they acquire the key competencies that will be needed for a future with AI. Instead of being lectured, they learn to discover knowledge independently and to retain it sustainably. And with a teacher-to-child ratio of 1:12, every child receives the attention they deserve.

How learning happens
Children of this age are very social. They rarely work alone, but mostly in pairs or small groups. And they are driven by a great curiosity and hunger for knowledge to discover everything humankind has built up in knowledge. They want to understand why the world is the way it is.
At the centre of the day is the free choice of work. The children decide for themselves what they work on, with whom and for how long. In short introductory circles, the teachers present new materials or topics. The children then work through these topics independently or in groups. They use a journal to keep track of their tasks.
And what about the future?
Despite the focus on free development, the transition to the next school level is not neglected: with two languages and individual support, the children are well prepared for whatever comes next. Preparation for the gymnasium entrance is included, too. Through the combination of our curriculum and targeted training, the children are ideally prepared for the leap to the long-track gymnasium.
